Science for Music Teachers and Music for Science Teachers
Music makes the world go round, at least that's what many of our students would say. So why not bring it out of the music room and into the class room? And since we're STEAMing forward why not bring the science of sound out of the class room and into the music room? In this session we'll be exploring the overlap of music, science, and sound. Diving into questions like how many hertz is an orchestra at fortissimo, why can opera singers be heard over an orchestra but pop singers need an microphone, and how can brass players get so many notes with one combination of valves?
